Not surprisingly, I had the gym to myself this morning at 5:30am! I had an awful night and was too anxious to lay on the couch waiting for sleep that wasn't going to happen, so, the gym it was. It felt tremendous to have 5 miles under my belt by 6:30am--on a holiday, no less! Besides, I skipped the workout yesterday and drank and ate a lot (why does happy hour always turn into an entire evening?!?), so my body needed it.
My right knee was killing me when I reached the 2.5 miles, so I thought I would only run 3, but then I got a boost of energy that carried me through another 2.5 miles besides the pain.
And can I just point out, umm...5 MILES!?!?!? I've never done that in my life. I guess I better get used to it, because I said the same thing when I reached 4 miles!
